Yeh, I wasn't in any way trying to exclude Pollack. He's one of two players to be a three time All-American. So like Dean said, he and Walker should be unanimous.

H/T for Magill. Great addition worthy of any honor Dawg related.

Yeah, if we were talking UGA coaches and personalities I think you'd have to go Butts, Dooley, Munson and Magill?

That's an interesting topic in and of itself.

If we removed the modern era requirement I think that my list might be: Trippi, Sinkwich, Tarkenton and Walker?

Nice post. Should lead to some good debates. I agree with Bernie in that it would be hard to leave out Trippi and or Sapp. I also think it would be hard to leave out Dooley and Munson. Unless this is a player only Mt. Rushmore. But I like your picks. Hershel and Pollack should be unanimous.

Hah, I know Bernie... especially with regards to Pollack it just didn't seem right to exclude a Trippi, Hoage or Woerner.

However, I did want to touch on this new golden era we're experiencing in Georgia football (though some may not view it as such because we're living it) and Pollack was the obvious choice.

There have been many DGDs in the modern era but if you step back and look at Pollack's achievements he is difficult to argue against.

Your Dad a Clemson grad? My Mom is a Clemson grad!

Hmmm...great post. Although I might rename it to give it more of Southern charm. : )

I like your choices Ridge. Can we ask Evans to expand the face of "Mount Sanford"? to include Trippi and Sapp since their jerseys are retired? Maybe even include Hoage since Dooley says he was one of the best he ever coached. And one of my all-time favorites...the man who almost single-handedly beat Clempson in '80...Scott Woerner (near and dear to my heart since my dad is a Tiger Rag grad).
